- 〰️ Tuning in to what resonates with you
〰️ Tuning in to what resonates with you
And how to ring from there

I’m humming multiple times a day…now with more intention. Noticing resonance everywhere.
Here’s what you’ll find in this letter:
〰️ What went down (and what rose up)
〰️ The moment I keep going back to
〰️ What to expect in May for Soul Care
What went down (and what rose up)
While every Soul Care Sunday is a different wellbeing concert, the April edition was more of a wellbeing workshop.
We left humming. Not to a particular song. There wasn’t any music, per se.
Instead, we tuned in to the origins of music and movement. The unique resonance created by humans—body, breath, voice, connection.
The Oxford Dictionary defines resonance as “the quality in a sound of being, deep, full, and reverberating.”
It sounded like mmm, brrr, bzzz, aaah… It looked like fingers on faces. It asked for both focus and play. It vibrated a little differently for every body in the room.
The practice matters. Because nowadays it’s so easy to get pulled away, off course, drowned out, and lost in this noisy world.
Resonance is an anchor to the truth. It literally rings you back to who you are.
Big thanks to Renee Salewski (performing artist and vocal teacher) for guiding us:
〰️ we grounded and tuned in to body sensations through Yoga Nidra
(I heard snoring which is a win in my books)
〰️ we learned vocal and breath techniques to calm the nervous system
(Simple, practical, usable in real life)
〰️ we played games to experience resonance in action and to feel how our bodies respond, to listen to what it sounds like
(It’s fun to explore as a community)
After jotting down some reflections, Balm friends shared valuable aha’s and takeaways like:
You know the sound of enlightenment? When something clicks and you say “Ohhh…” You do it without thinking. That’s resonance.
I’m going to use this before presentations or meetings. To find my centre and show up with more confidence.
Your frequency is a unique note in the universe. Your purpose is not to find it, but to connect with it. Resonate and ring from what’s true to you. That’s the flex.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to provide a space for new awareness to enter and to offer tools for more of your presence in relationships, work, rest, and play.
Shoutout to everyone who came out with curiosity and an open heart! Your trust and willingness to step into the unknown yet also feels like home—fills me with adventure and awe. ❤️🙏
The moment I keep going back to
Picture this: 20 people in a room. Humming their own notes. Not performing, not perfect. Just present.
You’d think that it would sound chaotic—clashing, jarring, dissonant.
Like the ongoing drone of noise out there that makes you want to jump out of your own skin, or crawl under a rock. It feels distorted, staticky, and grating.
Blech. Full body cringe. It’s doesn’t feel right.
But that wasn’t the case on Sunday. It was different.
The harmony surprised me.
It felt peaceful.
It felt grounded.
It sounded beautiful.
The room rang like a bell—open, clear, alive.
I wonder if it’s because the assignment was to play with our own unique resonance. I wonder if open, clear, and alive is our most authentic and natural state.
And I wonder if that’s what our world is meant to sound like.
Maybe true harmony is about everyone feeling supported enough to sound like themselves.
What’s the potential of paying more attention to tuning in to yourself/Source and resonating out from there?

On May 25 is our last Soul Care Sunday before a summer pause.
You know the feeling. The moment your shoulders drop. A deep breath reaches the forgotten edges of your core. A long exhale blows away the hardened aches of worry. Softness enters with a gentle whisper. Something inside you says, yes…more of this.
We’d love to have you back in the room.
