🫂 The track ended
and they just kept going...
It was a sacred moment, I hope to remember forever.
Everyone standing in stillness with hands on hearts and bellies. Eyes closed. Humming along (literally) as individuals and one collective voice.
When the music ended, no one noticed. They stayed steady in the rhythm of those 7 notes, 2 breaths, 1 phrase, 0 words. On repeat. Human x infinity = humanity.
It felt too good to stop. And somehow, without signalling to each other, the hum completed itself with divine satisfaction.
This is the miracle of co-regulation.
When humans breathe together, sing/hum together, or sit in attuned silence together, something beautiful happens:
Our heart rates sync and slow down. Stress hormones ease. Bodies feel safe to soften. Together we create an emotional field, an atmosphere of profound peace, connection, and belonging.
Like one big nervous system holding space for every little one inside it.
Humans are wired to regulate with other humans.
This is why Soul Care Sunday exists. Will you join us on December 7?
More details after one song, one poem, and one move to help steady you during this hectic season.

🎶 One Song
Something new that I can’t get enough of because it sounds and feels like love. Maybe it’s the opening “Ooohs…” Inspired by the introspective poetry of Emily Dickinson. Music by a Pulitzer Prize-winning composer. And breathy yet crystal clear voices.
Sound textures weave in and out, tender and aching. With spaciousness that feels like a portal to the simplicity and vastness of love.
✍️ One Poem
“Hope” is the thing with feathers
“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.
〰️ One Move
Will you try humming as part of your morning routine?
Before the day pulls you outward, before you grab the phone, before the bombardment of thoughts and to-do lists, before meeting other people’s needs, there’s a moment where you can choose your state instead of falling into one.
When you hum first thing in the morning, a few things happen:
Your mind clears, without caffeine, screens, or urgency
Your body opens, releasing emotional and physical tightness
Your mood lifts, setting the tone for the day with forcing it
You reconnect with yourself before you attune to anyone else
You don’t have to worry about sounding good. You’re simply creating a gentle, steady vibration inside your body.
If you decide to try tomorrow, take a loving inhale through the noise and hum on your exhale for as long as your breath can go. Then repeat five more times. And if it feels good, just keep going.
Your body will recognize it as care.
🎄 The most wonderful time of the year, is fast and loud
If you’re craving a quiet pocket of peace to get you through the month or to set the tone for how you show up during the holidays, I’d love to welcome you into the room.
We will move, breathe, hum, listen, soften, and remember how to hold and be held in community.

間 (ma) — the space between. A pause that restores. Stillness that listens. It is the quiet intelligence of timing. The felt sense of when to wait, and when to move.
Stillness is seasonal intelligence. It’s a tree listening to warmth before reaching for light.
Come as you are, we’ll take care of the rest.
